High-Volume Recycled Waste Glass Powder Cement-Based Materials: Role of Glass Powder Granularity

The use of recycled waste glass powder (RWGP) as a partial substitute for cement in cement-based materials offers promising solution reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainable management practices. An experimental study was conducted on reference material made with Portland-limestone CEMII/A-LL42.5R three other containing 50 wt% RWGP different mean diameters, d50: 16, 18, 25 µm. main objective to analyze the role granularity short- medium-term properties materials. results showed that coarser led an increase fluidity Portlandite content, while water demand mechanical decreased. However, range granularities tested did not significantly affect initial setting time, fresh dry density, hydration temperature, porosity. These findings suggest choice should depend desired material.
